Trump is terrified to debate the former prosecutor--to the point where he's trying to cover up his fear with a faux Fox debate that won't fly when the network is currently dealing with two different lawsuits related to election fraud.
And now, with the incredibly popular Gov. Tim Walz running with VP Harris, Trump's problems are only getting worse.
Trump's historically unpopular running mate, JD "Vladimir Futon" Vance now must debate the affable former high school teacher and football coach, who's got a list of accomplishments so impressive, you couldn't write a better biography for a Vice President.
He's also got mad Dad jokes, telling the crowd at the Philly rally kicking off his campaign with VP Harris that he's looking forward to debating Vance. "That is," Walz deadpanned with perfect comic timing, "if he's willing to get off the couch and show up."

All of this is happening after another disastrous week that saw Trump's worst interview ever, along with Judge Tanya Chutkan setting an August 16th date for a status conference in the newly restarted 2020 election interference trial.
The media is also noticing the response to VP Harris and is following the audience's lead when it comes to covering her. In doing so, they're also forced to tell the truth about Trump. It's a moment like this that'll live under his thin skin forever.
