[WATCH/COMMENTARY] Trump Creates a New Level Of Cringe at Black Journalists Conference

Someone on Team Trump is about to lose their job for booking their candidate to appear at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention in Chicago on Wednesday.

Trump's campaign has been stumbling badly over the last few weeks, starting with the questions that remain around the July 13th rally shooting incident, to his terrible choice of a running mate, to the racist comments he's already made regarding his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Like most Republicans, Trump deliberately mispronounces the Vice President's first name while also misrepresenting her stances, which sound oddly close to his own when he says them out loud.

Every accusation is a confession, like when he said Kamala Harris doesn't like Jewish people, despite being married to a Jewish man and helping him raise his Jewish children.

He's also fully terrified to debate her or ever be confronted by actual truths. So to see him on a stage being questioned by Black journalists--both conservative and not--seems like an all-around terrible idea.

Considering his track record of turning questions he doesn't like around on his interviewers, the three Black women (Rachel Scott of ABC News, Semafor's Kadia Goba, and Fox “News” talking head Harris Faulkner, who is like if Candace Owens was even more uptight) should have really known better.

But it was even worse than you could imagine.

Scott immediately jumped in by asking the guy who wouldn't to Black families in the 1970s about his racist past, and he responded exactly as I would've expected: “I have never been asked a question in such a horrible manner, first question. You don't even say ‘Hello, how are you?’ Are you with ABC? Because I think they are a fake news network, a terrible network.”

And then he just made it worse by being hella racist.

He claimed Kamala Harris "turned Black" only a "number of years ago."

"I did not know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. Is she Indian or is she Black?”

I mean, come on now.

Anyway, he lied about being racist while being racist to a room full of Black journalists. He lied about everything else while also bullying Black women.

VP Harris released a statement soon after Trump's disastrous appearance was over.

You're welcome to watch the full interview, which I don't expect anyone to do. Except the Harris For President campaign's social media staff, who have tons of excellent footage to use in their ads and posts for the next four months.
