[COMMENTARY] Terrified Trump Manufactures Fake Fox News Debate Challenge to Kamala Harris

Donald Trump doesn't want to debate Vice President Kamala Harris.

We know this because he won't keep up his end of the agreement to the debate schedule made before President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

VP Harris is more than ready to meet Trump for the next pre-approved debate in Atlanta on September 10th, hosted by ABC News.

Everyone knows why Trump doesn't want to say anything to Kamala's face. He's a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who's facing sentencing in New York just eight days after the debate. The Vice President is a former prosecutor who silenced Mike Pence at their 2020 debate with a simple, "I'm speaking."

Plus, she's a Black woman, whether he thinks so or not, and that's another reason why he's terrified of her.

But Trump also has to continue his snake oil salesman facade of false bravado to fool his base so he can keep grifting them, so Trump came up with a way to attempt to weasel out of the ABC News debate while once again manipulating the media.

Trump posted on his failing social media app, Truth Social, that he'll debate VP Harris on Fox News on September 4th. That's two days before he has to go back to court because he just can't accept his loss to E. Jean Carroll, the woman he sexually assaulted and defamed.

That's a lot of word salad to cover up the rotten red meat he's been throwing to the MAGA masses.

The "conflict of interest" is bs, because he filed that snowflake defamation lawsuit in March, well before the debate schedule was set.

Most of the MSM covered this by saying "Trump agrees to debate Harris" when that's not at all the case. Trump is trying to create a safe space with an audience full of his cult followers, as if any of that changes the truth Kamala Harris would deliver.

There's a part of me that wants to believe the MAGA cult knows he's scared, but they have to keep up the smokescreen for him. Trump is like a shuffling sundowning game of Three Card Monte in a cheap shiny Brioni suit with stretchy pants. They can't stop playing because they were promised winning, yet have gotten nothing but L's this entire time.

The Vice President's campaign isn't playing, though.

Harris campaign communications director Michael Tyler released a statement in response to Trump's false Fox debate. Also, props to the digital team at KamalaHQ for the additional savagery.

The VP herself answered the challenge, then upped the ante like she does because she knows Trump is scared of her.
