WATCH: Thousands Brave Summer Rainstorm in Savannah to See Harris and Walz

Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) wrapped up a joyful two-day bus tour of rural south Georgia towns with a rally in coastal Savannah which drew thousands despite a late summer rainstorm.

Before Thursday's rally, Vice President Harris stopped by Dottie's Market and The Grey in downtown Savannah, in addition to doing a much-anticipated interview with CNN's Dana Bash at Kim's Cafe.

Thursday's rally at Savannah's Enmarket Arena was sold out days in advance, with thousands more lining the streets to welcome the Democratic ticket.

Videos from inside the venue three full hours before the rally began show that the rain did nothing to dampen anyone's spirits.

Much like the final night of the Democratic National Convention, there was soon not a seat to be found.

While JD Vance couldn't order a doughnut in Valdosta, VP Harris and Coach Walz were hanging out with the locals in a tiny town called Sandfly.

And while the locals in Savannah were getting ready to hear from the Democratic presidential nominee, the GOP's version was keeping a smaller crowd waiting in sweltering Potterville, Michigan, for more than an hour.

Vice President Harris joyfully greeted the crowd by thanking them for their hospitality and asked them to join her in thanking both President Joe Biden and sending love to the President who lives in their state, Jimmy Carter.

Reminding the crowd that there's hard work ahead--"Hard work is good work!"--the Vice President also explained how she's more than ready for the work ahead based on her long past in public service.

"My entire career, I've only had one client," she said. "The people."
