WATCH: Georgia in In Play As Harris & Walz Kick Off 2-Day Bus Tour In Savannah

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are kicking off a two-day bus tour in Georgia on Wednesday that will stop in rural areas in the southern part of the state before wrapping up with a big rally in Savannah.

The VP and the Coach will meet with supporters, campaign staff, small business owners, and voters at each stop. It's a makeup visit from earlier in the month when they were originally planning a seven-state swing tour.

The bus tour comes just after Democrats announced a lawsuit against Georgia State Republicans over obstructive and arbitrary new voting rules meant to "create post-election" chaos.

VP Harris and Coach Walz will also sit for their first interview together while in the Peach State.

Rural voters in particular are eager to meet the Vice President and her running mate, who are both proving to be more popular with voters in swing states thanks to a post-DNC ratings bump.

At the same time, the Harris/Walz campaign has launched a new ad across the battleground states seeking to tie Trump to the conservative Project 2025.

The ad contends that Trump is “out for control” over voters, with Trump quotes placed over ominous screenshots of the plan. It’s just one part of the Harris/Walz campaign's $370 million in digital and television ad reservations between Labor Day and Election Day.

The Harris/Walz campaign has opened 24 offices around Georgia, including in more traditionally Republican areas. Since VP Harris started running for President, the campaign says they’ve brought in 35,000 new volunteers in Georgia alone.

Vice President Harris will follow the Georgia bus tour with stops in Detroit and Pittsburgh over Labor Day Weekend alongside Still-The-President Joe Biden.
