Donald Trump capped off the worst week yet for his campaign with another unhinged and rambling press conference where he threatened to deport legal immigrants and defended the September 11th conspiracy theorist he's been traveling with.
Trump claimed he called the news conference to "blame California's problems" on Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a former San Francisco district attorney, the California state attorney general, and U.S. senator.
Speaking to the press at his golf course near Los Angeles, Trump insisted he won the debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump once again refused to accept responsibility for the threats against Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, or for the fully debunked rumor that they're "eating the dogs and the cats" as he'd claimed during his catastrophic debate performance Tuesday night.
Trump played to his base and threatened to start "mass deportations" with the legal Haitian immigrants who live in Springfield.
The rambling went on for nearly 40 minutes before Trump made the mistake of taking questions, which only resulted in more unhinged rambling about water and the "dishonest" voting system in California.
Trump also seemed very defensive when asked about the "nature" of his relationship with the famously racist and anti-Semitic Loomer, who was part of his debate team and was with him at a September 11th memorial event in New York on Wednesday despite pushing the lie that it was "an inside job."
"Laura's a supporter," Trump said. "I don't control Laura. Laura has to say what she wants ... She's a free spirit."
