WATCH: NYT Times Article Brings Back Questions Regarding Trump's Age

The same ageist corporate media that bullied President Joe Biden for having a sore throat at his lone debate have until now essentially ignored Donald Trump's own advanced age.

But at 78, Trump is the oldest presidential candidate in history and would be 82 (one year older than Joe Biden is now) at the end of a potential term--one that he's clearly unfit to serve, according to a new deep dive into Trump's cognitive impairment in the New York Times.

Less than a month after Lawrence O'Donnell called out the Times for "sanewashing" Trump, NYT writers Peter Baker and Dylan Freedman's deep dive into Donald's decline has brought a new focus to Trump's age and ability to perform the duties of the most demanding job in the country.

Anthony Scaramucci, who served as the White House communications director for 10 days during the Trump administration and is now backing Kamala Harris, told The Times that Trump is "not competing at the level he was competing at eight years ago, no question about it.”

“He’s lost a step. He’s lost an ability to put powerful sentences together,” Scaramucci said.

Former Trump Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews told the paper that he's "had some pretty noticeable moments of confusion," which could be connected to a decline in cognitive function exacerbated by his age.

Peter Baker joined MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Monday to discuss Trump's obvious decline as well as the marked increase in his violent rhetoric, which was again on full display at his unhinged rally in Butler, PA, on Saturday.
