Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with WIRED for their "Autocomplete Interview" series to answer questions--which she did NOT get in advance--based on Google searches of her name.
The VP responds authentically to the questions, which she reveals from a board with printed prompts such as "How does Kamala Harris pronounce her name?" and "What does Kamala Harris stand for?"
The Vice President fields questions on her policies regarding reproductive rights, gun ownership, marriage equality, and her experience as California's Attorney General. She also talks about more personal details, sharing childhood memories of the banana seat on her bicycle.
Vice President Harris also speaks lovingly of how she developed her relationship with her stepchildren, Cole and Ella--whom she calls her "cherished children" as well as her deep ties to her college sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA).
The Vice President also focused on the glaring differences between herself and Donald Trump. “His vision for our country is very grounded in the past,” she says, “and frankly an attempt to take us backward.”
She also owns Trump when talking about their debate.
In another one of the interview's highlights, Vice President Harris glows while talking about finally getting her much-anticipated endorsement from Taylor Swift.
Taylor's endorsement initially resulted in over 330,000 new voters registering via a link from her Instagram Story. That's three times as many as her endorsement for Joe Biden in 2020.
The latest polls indicate Vice President Harris leading Trump by as much as four points.
