While many of her supporters continue to use the phrase "I will die mad" when it comes to her 2016 loss, Hillary Clinton doesn't feel the same way.
Despite living a life of public service, the former Secretary of State and First Lady has always been able to maintain a level of privacy not often afforded to such a famous person. She remained stoic in public after winning the Popular Vote but losing the Electoral College. Secretary Clinton was also able to find the silver linings in retiring, along with her sense of humor.
In her newest book, "Something Lost, Something Gained," Secretary Clinton reveals how she felt when she heard the news that Vice President Kamala Harris was going to be the Democratic nominee instead of President Joe Biden.
In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Secretary Clinton talks about her marriage to former President Bill Clinton--yes, they went to counseling--and how she felt when she heard the news about Donald Trump's criminal convictions after repeatedly warning the public during her presidential campaign.
There's a nice little Taylor Swift tie-in for all of the Swifties.
Hillary also delivered a fantastic speech on the first night of the Democratic National Convention, a reminder of what America could have had, which falls under the "Something Lost" part of her book's title.
"Together, we've put a lot of cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling," Hillary said. "And tonight's so close to breaking through once and for all. … And you know what? On the other side of that glass ceiling is Kamala Harris raising her hand and taking the oath of office as our 47th President of the United States. Because my friends, when a barrier falls for one of us, it falls and clears the way for all of us."
"Something Lost, Something Gained" will be released on Tuesday, and Secretary Clinton will go on a brief promotional book tour starting Monday.
