1. How They Both Met
Wendy and John met accidentally when they both bumped into each other on the walkway. They decided to exchange contacts with each other.
They made sure that they checked up on each other daily, went on dates, gisted and laughed. They both decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. They both believed they had found their forever, so there was no point wasting time.
2. Marriage Ceremony
Without wasting much time, Wendy and John started making preparations for their wedding. John couldn't wait to see his bride-to-be and was amazed to see Wendy being walked down the aisle by her dad.
John felt that his wedding was a dream come through and blessed to be with her. They made their marriage vows and had a nice honeymoon. They spent their honeymoon in Brazil.
3. Weird Feelings
After years of having a happy home, things started to feel different. There were times they had little misunderstandings with each other but they always made sure to settle their differences.
However, this time, the strong bond they had with each other was quietly dying. So was their trust and commitment to the marriage.
4. Where's John?
One day, John didn't come back from work until late which was unusual for him. Wendy became worried and didn't know what to do next.
She moved to and fro the sitting room, checking the window to see if he was around the area. She kept a sleepless night until he arrived home by 2am looking haggard.

As John came in, she tried to figure out what could have made him arrive unusually late. Wendy welcomed him as usual, sat him down and started asking questions.
Instead he ignored her and went into his room without him eating. This made her worried because he never rejected her food.

This continued for days, making Wendy so worried that she found it hard to be patient.
She felt there was something fishy going on with their relationship. The more she thought of it, the more she tried to erase it from her mind.

One day, John came back from work drunk and staggering. As he entered the house, he flung his bag and laid on the chair.
Wendy saw how helpless he looked, took him into the room and helped him get his clothes off. She placed his phone on the nightstand so he could easily reach it if he needed to. This would be the catalyst behind their already troubled marriage.

The next morning his phone beeped while he was having a shower. Wendy picked the phone up and saw that John had a missed call from work.
Just as she was about to drop the phone, a message came in. She was curious and tried to read the message. However, John walked in just then.

As John came in and saw what Wendy was doing, he immediately kicked her and grabbed his phone. It was a knee-jerk reaction because he was afraid she was interfering with his privacy.
He warned Wendy never to go through his phone for no reason. This was the first time he ever physically hurt Wendy.

Wendy, in her defense, said it would be the first and the last time he ever raised his hand to beat her unless he wanted to see the other side of her.
This made John angrier to the point that he gave Wendy bruises all over her body. This made her want to quit her marriage but tried to seek advice.

Wendy cried for hours, not knowing what to do. She was hurt so much and wanted to give up. She tried reaching out to her mother but her number wasn't connecting.
Then she reached out to her closest friend to seek advice. She cried over the phone as she expressed herself bitterly. Her close friend tried to calm her down that she would be fine — all marriages do not come without some misunderstanding. She advised her to be calm and watch what happened next before taking the next step.
12. Suspicious
Wendy jumped up from the sofa and went into John's room.
She was shocked to see some pairs of new clothing in his closet but kept quiet just to find out more about what John was up to. She felt something strange but wanted to get more evidence.
13. No Love, No Attention
John was so cold towards her. He spent hours on calls and when she questioned him, he came up with confusing replies.
He would always claim that the calls he had been having were business calls. Wendy decided to mind her own business and focus on her profession as a nurse, wishing that one day the truth would reveal itself.

Since Wendy suspected that John was cheating on her, she tried to figure out who his side chick was and how they met. However, one day, her friend revealed that John spent lots of time on Instagram liking and commenting on photos.
Wendy reasoned that there was a high possibility of him liking and commenting on his side chick’s photos. However, when she checked John’s Instagram, she couldn’t find anything of that nature.
15. Seeking Advice
Wendy, who didn't know what to do, contacted her close friend on Facebook. She texted her and asked for her advice. She begged her friend to help her check John's Instagram account to find what she was missing.
This was how they found out that John had a secret Instagram account that was basically a clone of his real account. The worst part, she couldn’t view the page. However, from her friend’s account, she could see that he was always on one particular woman’s page.

She also tried to view the woman’s account but couldn’t.
Wendy decided to get a Followmeter to check if both accounts had her blocked and they did. So she got a different account and was able to see their interactions and find more deep details about both parties.
17. Spending Time On John's Instagram Page
Wendy went as far as investigating John's activities by spending some time on his Instagram page just to find out who he was messing around with.
While scrolling through his page, an image of a beautiful woman with the name Linda caught her attention. She scrolled to find more information about the woman on John's Instagram page and her heart dropped.
18. Getting Information About Linda
Wendy noticed Linda was tagging John in photos and he was liking things on her page. Although, there wasn't a love heart, Wendy saw several smiley faces and flowers.
She went on to check Linda's page and found out that she had two kids and was single. As Wendy looked at who she was following, she realized that Linda worked for one of John's clients.
19. More Details
On some occasions, Linda and John had been to the same event together.
To justify the evidence that John and Linda had been to the same events together, there was a photo of them with several other people in a group photo at dinner. Wendy was reeling from shock at all the evidence before her eyes.
20. Denial
After Wendy had gathered much evidence to back up her suspicion, she went ahead to confront him again, wishing he would tell the truth.
She tried letting him know that she was aware of his relationship with Linda. This made John surprised but he pretended never to know Linda.

Several times that Wendy tried to confront John he always denied he was having an affair. John even went on to say Wendy had mental health problems just to cover her suspicions.
John felt that saying those words to her would make her mind her business. But since that was the only word John had to say, she knew he had been cheating on her.
22. Trying To Explain
Since John knew that Wendy knew all that was happening, he tried to explain what had transpired between him and Linda.
John quietly told Wendy that he and Linda met at first on social media and met again at some work functions. The truth was finally coming out.
23. Wanting A Divorce
John further explained that both he and Linda were in love and that he wanted to divorce Wendy because they were very unhappy.
Immediately Wendy replied in pain that she had been happy until she realized John was cheating on her.

John and Wendy broke up over a year ago and he finally married Linda.
Wendy was in tears because she felt she had wasted six years of her life with John. She couldn’t understand how everything could have gone so wrong in such a short time.

Although Wendy felt sad at first upon hearing that John had gotten married, she was happy that John was out of her life for good.
She was also thankful that she never had kids for him. That would have been a disaster for them all, especially the kids.

"Be strong", another user said, "don't give up, sooner or later he will run back to you like a baby when he realizes his mistake.
Another user replied, "only time would tell, just keep your faith strong.” Comments came in encouraging her while some were laying blame on her.
30. Please Forgive Me
In less than four months of Linda getting married to John, he came back to Wendy to ask for her forgiveness. As John came back, Wendy remembered the words of encouragement a Twitter user had, Wendy, felt that words are magical.
John begged Wendy who was filled with pain. She refused his apology. She knew he was not remorseful because she never would have found out the truth if she hadn’t used the app to uncover the truth.
