Vice President Kamala Harris is riding high after her definitive win Tuesday night over convicted felon Donald Trump at what may be their only debate.
After packed back-to-back rallies in North Carolina, the Vice President was back in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania on Friday, with planned stops deep in what used to be deep Red "Trump Country."
But in the seven weeks since she became the Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris has been able to start turning Pennsylvania Purple.
The Vice President will hold rallies in Johnstown and Wilkes-Barre, with crowds lining up more than four hours before the doors opened.
During a visit to the Johnstown bookstore (a bookstore! Where no Trump photo op has ever been staged!) and cafe Classic Elements, Vice President Harris spoke to her commitment to hunt for votes in parts of the state that appear less hospitable to a Democrat, saying there were “a lot of people who deserve to be seen or heard” throughout Pennsylvania.
Vice President Harris told the crowd that she dropped in to meet with the owners and supporters at Classic Elements to discuss her plans to support small businesses if elected. “Small businesses are so much part of the fabric of a community,” she told the shop owners. Harris said she would be in the state a lot and that “we got to earn every vote.”
The Vice President also sat down with a local news station for an exclusive interview to air on their 6 pm broadcast.
