Donald Trump is under fire for anti-Semitic remarks, along with an oddly specific threat against Vice President Kamala Harris, after another unhinged public appearance this week.
Trump addressed the right-wing Israeli-American Council in Washington, DC, on Thursday night and proceeded to declare that American Jews would be the ones to blame if he was to lose the November election to Vice President Harris.
Trump whined about "not getting enough support from Jewish voters" despite moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (which only he and Benjamin Netanyahu wanted) and his work on the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and a handful of Muslim-majority states.
The same guy who invited white supremacists to dine with him at Mar-a-Lago added that this “is the most important election in the history of Israel" and "If I don't win this election — and Jewish people would have a lot to do with that, 60% are voting for the enemy — Israel will cease to exist in two years."
"The Democrats are bad to Israel," Trump lied. "Very bad. They’ll never change because they have a section of their party now which has become amazingly and quickly very powerful vote-wise."
Trump also seemed to directly ask Netanyahu to help him beat Vice President Harris in November. “You have to defeat Kamala Harris. More than any other people on Earth, Israel, I believe, has to defeat her. You know that? And I’ve never said this before. And I’m thinking, more than any people on Earth, Israel has to defeat her. I really believe that. It’s a disaster for Israel, and you know why.”
