Both Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump appeared on Univision Town Halls this week, resulting in diametrically different results.
While the Vice President's compassionate responses earned her top marks from the Latino community, Trump's unhinged non-answers solidified for many that he's simply unfit to lead the country.
Trump lied in every response, doubling down on his false claims that migrants in Springfield, Ohio, are still "eating pets" and saying that immigrants are "destroying the country" to a room full of legal immigrants.
He also lied about January 6th, and the women in the audience in particular weren't having it.
But it was two viral moments that sealed the Latino vote going to Kamala Harris. First, a man who's spent his life bent over picking strawberries stumped Trump by asking him who'll do all of the manual labor jobs white Americans won't do if he's able to implement the mass deportations he's been threatening.
Then, a New Jersey man told Trump how disillusioned he was about Trump's lack of action on January 6th, saying he was giving Trump a chance to win back his vote. Let's just say Trump didn't do that at all.
"You had hundreds of thousands of people come to Washington. They didn’t come because of me, they came because of the election,” Trump lied while also pushing his Big Lie about 2020. “Some of those people went down to the Capitol peacefully and patriotically. Nothing done wrong at all.”
Former Univision president Joaquin Blaya joined "Morning Joe" on Thursday and blasted the Town Hall as an "infomercial" for the Trump campaign.
