Donald Trump has historically avoided public memorials on September 11th, preferring to call in to Fox News to falsely brag about how he helped clean up Ground Zero and that his building, 40 Wall Street, was now the tallest building in Manhattan after the Twin Towers fell.
But the morning after losing what will most likely be the only presidential debate, Trump followed Vice President Kamala Harris to New York to participate in an official 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero along with President Joe Biden and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
After shaking hands with the Vice President--which he actively tried to avoid during the opening moments of last night's debate--Trump apparently told her she "did a good job" crushing him into a fine powder.
And then Donny Photo Op proceeded to wink at photographers and mug for the cameras, as if the entire thing was about him.
Trump and his unpopular running mate, JD Vance, were weirdly dressed exactly alike. Since they're badly trailing the Harris/Walz campaign, it makes sense that they'll be following Joe Biden and Kamala Harris from New York City to Shanksville, PA, the site of the United 93 crash.
The names of those killed there were read aloud there Wednesday morning, and the families of the heroes who brought down the terrorists spoke briefly afterwards.
While it may seem that many Americans don’t observe 9/11 anniversaries anymore, “the men and women of the Department of Defense remember,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said.
