WATCH: Texas Is In Play As Kamala Harris Heads to Houston

Vice President Kamala Harris will be the first presidential candidate in three decades to campaign in Texas so close to Election Day when she returns to the Lone Star State on Friday to hold a rally in the big Blue dot that is Houston.

It'll also be the first time the Vice President has visited Texas, where early voting began on Monday, since becoming the Democratic nominee in July, with a venue still to be announced in the nation's 3rd largest city in the presciently named Harris County.

Texas is currently one of the states where abortion is all but outlawed, and the VP will be focusing her speech on reproductive rights and what's at stake for women should Trump and his enablers get their chance to implement Project 2025.

Vice President Harris will share the stage with several women who have been affected by the state’s restrictive abortion laws, which took effect after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. Joining her will be Amanda Zurawski, a Texas woman who went into premature labor, developed sepsis and nearly died after doctors said they couldn't intervene to provide her with an abortion because Zurawski wasn’t in "enough medical danger" to allow the procedure.

Several Texas women have lodged complaints against hospitals for not terminating their failing and dangerous pregnancies because of the state’s ban. In some cases, women lost reproductive organs.

The Vice President will also be joined by Democratic Rep. Colin Allred, who's challenging unpopular MAGA Republican Sen. Ted Cruz for his seat.
