Donald Trump and whoever's left on his dwindling staff are scrambling to spin his dreadful debate performance from Tuesday night, to hilarious results.
Trump bombed so badly that he was actually aware of it and proved it by showing up unannounced in the spin room to try to rewrite the history he'd just made.
“We had a great night. We won the debate. We had a terrible, a terrible network,” Trump said Wednesday on Fox News. “They should be embarrassed. I mean they kept correcting me and what I said was largely right or I hope it was right.”
He's just so, so bad at this that even RFK Jr was forced to tell the truth about it.
Over 60% of debate-watchers said Vice President Kamala Harris far outperformed Trump, according to a flash poll by CNN. Before the debate, the same voters were evenly split on whether Trump or Harris would win.
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell has been especially excellent when it comes to telling the truth to his viewers--not just about Trump, but how badly his colleagues across corporate news media have been covering him.
Immediately after the debate, O'Donnell told his fellow panelists that Vice President Harris delivered "the best presidential debate performance" in history (which only began with the JFK/Nixon debate in 1960).
On Wednesday night, O'Donnell devoted his entire A block to dissecting Donald's disaster of a debate performance. Because he's a master at this, Lawrence also shared older interviews of VP Harris going back to 2009 to demonstrate how consistent she's been in her career.
