During a recent appearance on Fox News, Nikki Haley said that the Trump campaign is losing steam with women voters and may not be able to get them back.
A large group of white men without a college education have backed Donald Trump's political rise. But Trump has always struggled with female voters and it has only gotten worse for him with the GOP's continued attacks on women voters.
Nikki Haley was on Fox this week and host John Roberts asked her about a recent poll that showed Trump trailing Kamala Harris with female voters by 21%.
Haley told the host, "Well, I think that, you know, the Harris campaign's doing a good job of trying to claim he's losing them. I think of 150 [campaign] chairs that we had, I think maybe less than ten, have gone the Harris side."
The former Republican candidate continued, "But what Trump needs to do is talk to suburban women, talk to independents, make sure that they know he doesn't need to be having a primary debate at this point. Suburban women and independents still have the verdict out."
Haley closed by saying:
"And if you're talking about things over here that don't matter, if you're talking about whether Kamala's dumb, if you're talking about, you know, Haitians eating cats, you're losing them."
