While running a segment on the GOP's racist attacks against Kamala Harris, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace pleaded with Republican lawmakers to keep calling the Vice President a D.E.I. hire.
In the days since Donald Trump was President, Republican lawmakers have become much more open about their bigotry. Several politicians on the right have had a hard time containing their racist views in regards to Harris' looming candidacy.
The current code word for the GOP is D.E.I., which stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Republicans are using this term to claim that Harris is not qualified for her job. Nicolle Wallace wants them to keep it up.
After running a clip of different Republicans using the term, Wallace sarcastically said during her Wednesday show, "Maybe we should tell them it's working. Keep saying that stuff, guys."
Wallace continued, "Leadership has reportedly begged Republican members behind closed doors to stop the racist attacks. It's more than petty, though, isn't it? You know it is..'
Adam Kinzinger then weighed in, saying that the claims can't be considered a dog whistle. Instead, he argued, "It's an outright whistle."
The host would then continue, ""The GOP stoking racism in America is the defacto Democratic nominee focuses on the future and what is possible."
