On Thursday's edition of Morning Joe, host Mika Brzezinski had strong words for Bret Baier after he conducted an 'embarrassing' interview with Kamala Harris.
Harris, who is doing everything she can to win votes, decided to go on Fox News and take whatever questions they threw at her. The network assigned one of the few actual journalists on its staff, Bret Baier, to ask the questions.
An enraged Trump preemptively ripped Baier for the decision and the Fox host then conducted the interview for an audience of one, the former President. Brzezinski blasted the performance from Baier, beginning with, "I mean, I've watched Bret Baier for years, and that was different."
After playing a clip from the interview where Baier claimed he was showing Trump's answer to a question when he wasn't and was called out by the Vice President, the host continued, "as you saw, it almost immediately devolved into an embarrassing, bad-faith effort by a once respected host to play to an audience of one."
Brzezinski closed:
"The host's constant, rude interruptions were designed to distract from the issues and facts that Trump and his acolytes try and twist and distort every day and, on Fox News, they try and avoid," she continued. "And they couldn't. When Kamala Harris realized the host was not going to let her speak, the only way the vice president could give Fox viewers an opportunity to hear what she had to say was to talk back over him. Was he making sure that happened? I personally think, absolutely."
