WATCH: Liz Cheney Endorses Kamala Harris

On the first anniversary of the January 6th Capitol riot, Vice President Kamala Harris took a moment to praise Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, one of the ten members of the GOP who had voted to impeach Donald Trump.

At the time, the Vice President said that in comparison to Cheney, who was also the Vice Chair of the bipartisan January 6th House Select Committee, Republicans "lacked her courage" when it came to holding Trump accountable for his actions to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after losing the 2020 election.

Now, Liz Cheney has returned the compliment to the Vice President in her role as the Democratic nominee.

During an appearance on Wednesday at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy, Cheney told the crowd that she was endorsing Vice President Harris.

Citing the "dangers that Trump poses," Cheney tells the crowd that they "don't have the luxury" of writing in a third-party candidate.

"Not only am I not voting for Donald Trump," Cheney says. "I'm voting for Kamala Harris."

And the crowd obviously was with her.

Vice President Harris has been getting endorsements from more and more Republicans. There is an entire "Republicans For Kamala" group raising money for the Harris campaign. Several prominent Republicans--including Cheney's fellow House Select Committee member and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger--spoke at the Democratic National Committee.

Recently, over 200 former Republican White House staffers signed an open letter endorsing Vice President Harris over Trump.

Expect more Republicans to join that list as Trump's very bad September continues.
