WATCH: Kamala Harris Wins The Internet (and Possibly Michigan) at Detroit Rally

Donald Trump can't stop insulting the cities he's speaking in, and that tactic has come back to not just bite him, but also to help boost his opponent as she lifts up the places Trump disparages.

Case in point: Detroit, a city that's seen its fair share of problems, but is currently enjoying a Renaissance thanks to its vibrant arts and music scene powered by Black artists building on the Motown legacy who are shining a new light on what the Motor City has to offer.

Trump called Detroit a "horrible" city while speaking to its residents, and insulted the locals again when his microphone went out for 20 minutes on a return visit Friday night. Instead of using the opportunity to get up close and personal to answer questions like Kamala Harris would, Trump just stood there and looked lost for a full 20 minutes before the tech issues were fixed. And then he blamed Detroit for it.

Conversely--and while wearing her trademark Converse Chuck Taylors--Vice President Harris spent the last week having meaningful conversations with Black leaders and other Black influencers in Michigan earlier this week, including an interview with Charlamagne Tha God that brought the VP new respect from not just Detroit's Black community, but the Black culture at large.

As early voting begins in Michigan, the differences between the two candidates couldn't be more glaring. The Vice President won over her Detroit crowd on Saturday without saying a word and also won the internet at the same with THAT SHIRT.
