Of all the late-night talk show hosts, Jimmy Kimmel has a particular way of getting under Donald Trump's thin skin.
Whether he's mocking Trump from the Oscars stage or his own, Kimmel shows his audience just how ridiculous Trump and his base truly are, earning long Truth Social rants from Trump as validation. On Wednesday night's show, Kimmel shared a supercut of the crazy things Trump has said during the nine years he's been at the forefront of the American consciousness.
Kimmel started the show with a lengthy plea to Republicans to vote for Kamala Harris instead:
“Tonight’s monologue is for Republicans," Kimmel began. "So, if you have someone in your life who is either planning to vote for Trump or thinking about it, I would like you to send this to a Republican you love and respect with a request: Ask them to watch this whole thing as a personal favor to you. And I promise I won’t make you regret it, because it’s not going to be our usual roast of Trump or some kind of liberal virtual signaling, none of that."
Kimmel then went on to show clips of the former president, saying he believes some Republicans are so busy they might not really take in the “words that come out of his mouth.”
Every clip in the montage is just Trump repeating lies over the last nine years, because the most effective tactic is to use his own words against him. "He doesn't answer, he just tap dances," Kimmel said.
