On Thursday, Jennifer Lopez became the latest A-list celebrity to back Kamala Harris. And the superstar, who is of Puerto Rican descent, had plenty to say about the recent Republican attack on Latino Americans.

Lopez said from the state last night in Las Vegas:

"It’s about us. All of us. No matter what we look like, who we love or who we worship or where we’re from. Her opponent, on the other hand, doesn’t see it that way. He has consistently worked to divide us. At Madison Square Garden, he reminded us who he really is and how he really feels. It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans that were offended that day. It was every Latino in this country! It was humanity! And anyone of decent character!"

Harris would later capitalize on Jennifer Lopez's messaging by saying

"With five days left in this campaign, my opponent is also making his closing argument to America. And you’ve probably seen a bit of it. It is an argument that is full of hate and division! He insults Latinos, scapegoats immigrants! And it’s not just what he says. It’s what he will do. If elected, you can be sure he will bring back family separation policies. Only on a much greater scale than last time. And it is time then to turn the page on Donald Trump. We are done with him!"
