At some point in his childhood, JD "Vladimir Futon" Vance must have had a negative encounter with a cat that emotionally scarred him for life.
Aside from blasting "childless cat ladies," an insult that will follow him forever, Vance is now pushing a ludicrous (and fully debunked) right-wing rumor that "illegal immigrants from Haiti" are "abducting and eating pets" in his adopted state of Ohio.
The claim appears to have originated from a local Facebook group in Springfield, Ohio, which warned residents to "be wary of the Haitian community" and alleged without any proof that animals, including cats and dogs, were being “carved up” for consumption.
It's a weak attempt to blame Vice President Kamala Harris for all of the issues regarding the border, even though Donald Trump forced Republicans to vote against the best possible bipartisan border bill because it would make his campaign look bad.
A bill that a President Kamala Harris would sign, by the way.
But since facts never matter to MAGA, Vance leaned into his private school third grade bully persona and decided to try to make friends by saying the same things they were saying, even if they weren't true.
Vance's lies were boosted by Elon Musk, who has openly endorsed Donald Trump and has been amplifying lies from the Trump campaign over the last few weeks.
Last month at a Springfield city meeting, a resident also claimed without providing any evidence that Haitian migrants were decapitating ducks in public parks and eating them.
