What started as a "damning non-answer" at the Vice Presidential debate has now become a full-blown lie.
JD Vance, who continues to plummet in popularity like no other VP candidate in history, must've been pulled aside by someone in the campaign and told he better start aligning with Donald Trump's Big Lie about the 2020 presidential election, because he's not dancing around the question anymore.
Vance flat-out lied about the 2020 election at a rally in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Wednesday in an obvious attempt to pander to the MAGA crowd.
Vance has essentially been stalking Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail, showing up in the towns where she's just held another hugely successful rally as if he can somehow undo the Harris/Walz momentum with the Big Lie.
While Vance had been couching his election denialism in double-speak and "answering questions with a question" like the obtuse smarmy eternal frat boy he is, he's now embracing the Big Lie as many people are suggesting he's being groomed to replace Trump via the 25th Amendment if they win.
The Harris campaign dragged Vance for his non-responses to the question about the 2020 election.
“There we have it – JD Vance finally admitted he denies the 2020 election results,” Harris/Walz campaign spokesperson Matt Corridoni said in a press statement. “As Governor Walz said on the debate stage weeks ago, Donald Trump selected Vance for this exact reason – he knows Vance will be a loyal soldier in Trump’s pursuit for absolute, unchecked, limitless power.”
