WATCH: Former GOP Rep. Explains How Trump is Hurting Himself With Evangelicals

According to former GOP Rep. Ken Buck, Donald Trump's latest promise about IVF could cost him the support of Evangelical voters.

Thanks to many factors, but in large part due to the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, Donald Trump is polling incredibly poorly with female voters. He tried to claw back some support yesterday by claiming that he will force companies to cover IVF. The problem is that the idea is upsetting to Evangelical voters.

Buck was asked about Trump's ploy during an interview on CNN and responded, "There are a lot of social conservatives who are really up in arms right now. But, you know, I'm skeptical that they're actually ever going to leave him. the evangelical support for Donald Trump has been curious from the very beginning, but it has been unwavering nonetheless."

The former Colorado Congressman continued:

"I'm sure they are seeing polling that show that this is a real big problem for him, and not just that it is an issue that people disagree with him on, it is an issue that we have seen turns out Democratic voters in it droves. It was the driving issue that had Democrats have the better outcome than we expected in the last midterms."

Buck also noted that while Evangelicals might be upset, they've proven over the years that there is almost nothing that Trump could do to lose their support.
