WATCH: Former GOP Lawmaker Urges Voters to "Reclaim this Country" By Voting For...Kamala Harris

Former Republican Lt. Gov. of Georgia Geoff Duncan is making it his mission to keep Donald Trump from getting a second term in the White House.

Duncan has already endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, causing a rift within the Georgia GOP as they scramble to keep Fulton County DA Fani Willis from prosecuting Trump for election interference.

That effort might get even more difficult now that Trump has publicly trashed Gov. Brian Kemp.

But Duncan's endorsement is more than just words in a statement or one tweet. He's been making TV appearances to take the message to Americans who might not be following the 2024 election as closely as others.

Duncan is also part of  Republicans For Harris, who raised millions for the Harris-Walz campaign during their virtual rally on Zoom. The group has more fundraisers and appearances planned to keep pressure on other Republicans to put the country ahead of their party and vote for Kamala Harris.

Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta, Duncan explained why taking the risk of speaking out against Trump is absolutely worth it.

“Just because you vote for Kamala Harris in 2024, doesn't mean you’re a Democrat," Duncan told Acosta. "It just means you’re a patriot. You’re doing your duty as an American to step up to the plate and reclaim this country's future.”

Republicans For Harris has dozens of members, with the list growing by the day, including most of Trump's former staffers who won't be voting for him. Former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger was one of the speakers on Tuesday's Zoom call and drove home the point of why the group was needed in the first place.

Kinzinger said Republicans should vote for VP Harris and Gov. Walz because "the faith in our democracy is constantly being chipped away by Donald Trump."
