A bombshell new report from Open Secrets reveals yet another financial connection between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, this time in the form of dark money donations going to fund a false pro-Kamala Harris website to dupe voters.
Musk lied to everyone when he claimed to be non-political when he bought Twitter for the sole purpose of re-electing Trump by pushing Russian disinformation.
Calling itself "Progress 2028," the scheme from "Building America’s Future" is funded by Musk, who's funneled over $100 million to the group along with other donors. The Progress2028 Twitter account appeared to have been scrubbed on Friday.
The language on the "Progress 2028" website is very close in composition to Project 2025 to make it seem like Vice President Harris supports extreme immigration reforms and other right-wing agendas.
Some of the "Progress 2028" policies are actually formerly disproven and misleading claims about Harris’ positions presented as facts, according to Open Secrets.
Policies listed include “Empowering Undocumented Immigrants, Building Our Future” and “Expanding Medicaid to Undocumented Immigrants.”
“Undocumented immigrants are the backbone of our country, and by removing barriers, we unlock incredible potential,” the document states. “Kamala Harris believes that every person, no matter their immigration status, deserves access to basic healthcare.”
Their efforts are also reaching Democratic voters who have received text messages directing them to the Progress 2028 page. Open Secrets reports that one such text lies about gun reform.
“Kamala Harris will support a nationwide gun buy-back program that will take dangerous weapons off our streets,” one text message read.
