The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is taking their anti-MAGA messaging to the skies, literally.
DNC-sponsored banners will be seen Saturday over Michigan Stadium, where the defending national champion Wolverines have a matchup against Texas. Banners will also be flown at home games for Penn State and Wisconsin. A banner is set to fly over Georgia’s home game, but might be affected by the weather.
"It’s college football Saturday, and fans are ready to sack the competition and beat Project 2025, which would give Trump unprecedented power, allow Trump to ban abortion nationwide, allow the government to monitor pregnancies, and give tax giveaways for billionaires," DNC Deputy Communications Director Abhi Rahman said.
At least 380,000 attendees will see the Democratic messaging above the stadiums, with tens of thousands more who live close to the games and millions watching on TV.
The messaging will tie Trump and Vance directly to Project 2025. At the University of Wisconsin vs. South Dakota game in Madison, Wisconsin, the banner will say: "Jump Around! Beat Trump + Project 2025," referencing the football team's fourth-quarter tradition.
Another banner reads “JD Vance ❤️ Ohio State + Project 2025."
MAGA extremists have been trying to distance themselves from Project 2025, but that's proving impossible considering JD Vance's ties to the Heritage Foundation.
Project 2025's more than 900 pages is a blueprint for Trump to finish the job he started during his administration, from firing tens of thousands of federal workers to abolishing government departments to imposing new restrictions on abortion and diversity initiatives.
