WATCH: CNN Anchor Rips Donald Trump Spox Over Hurricane Lies

During a recent discussion on CNN, anchor Kate Bolduan hit back at Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt's lies about the federal government's response to Hurricane Helene.

With storms brewing all over the southern portion of the United States, the Trump campaign is desperate to politicize the catastrophic effect of the hurricanes. According to Trump and his media arm, the Democrats are ignoring red states because of their political affiliation.

These claims have repeatedly been debunked, but the desperate GOP continues to push their lies on Conservative networks. Things are different, though, when they don't appear on friendly networks.

Kate Bolduan asked Leavitt, "Let's keep to the facts, which is on that suggestion that Donald Trump did make that they were stealing money from FEMA and using it, and it's all gone because they were using it to house migrants, that's not true. There is no disaster relief fund money that is going to house migrants."

The Trump spokesperson responded, "I don't think people care which pocket the money came from. They do care that their tax dollars, $1 billion of their tax dollars, went toward housing migrants!"

Bolduan then informed her guest that Trump had actually done the thing that he is accusing the Democrats of doing, "He told Congress that he was intending at the time in 2019 to shift $271 million from DHS, including $155 million from FEMA's disaster relief fund, to pay for detaining and transporting undocumented immigrants."
