During Byron Donald’s appearance on CNN Tuesday he attempted to blame Democratic rhetoric for the assassination attempts against Donald Trump. Host Kate Bolduan wasn’t havig it, though.
Donalds has been one of Trump’s chief attack dogs during his 2024 bid for the presidency. And today, the Florida Rep. was tasked with painting Democrats as the reason for Trump’s issues.
The Florida Rep. began by telling the CNN host:
“What Donald Trump has been talking about is we're going to fix our borders, we're going to have a great economy again, we're going to get out of these conflicts, we're going to make America great again, that is his rhetoric.”
“I think any serious person would also say,” Bolduan responded, “Congressman, that Donald Trump is a source of heated and dangerous rhetoric over months and years. I mean, even Republicans who support him and are voting for him this election have basically begged him to tone it down.”
The Florida Rep. responded by saying that Vance and Trump's conspiracy theories are just responses to the complaints of his constituents. He then claimed that Harris repeating Trump's very fine people line from Charlottesville was actual incitement.
Bolduan countered, "You can talk about a long list of lies. We could walk through it. I don't think it is to the benefit of voters right now for me to walk through to remind them of the lies that Donald Trump has told in the past. Case in point, eating dogs and eating dog and pets, or lots of other things"
