During a recent broadcast, Chris Hayes discussed Tucker Carlson's recent comments while stumping for Donald Trump and had some advice for the former Fox News host.
Over the last year, Carlson has had a fall from media grace similar to those suffered by Megyn Kelly and Bill O'Reilly. And while he might be playing to much smaller audiences, Carlson seems to be enjoying plying his trade in a more unfettered way.
The former Fox host was recently brought out at a Trum rally and showed talked about sexual violence, referring to America as a bad little girl who needs to be spanked by Daddy. "There has to be a point at which dad comes home," he said of Trump.
Playing the clip, Hayes began, "first of all: Get some therapy." The MSNBC host continued:
"Second of all: This is not just the creepy fantasizing of a disgraced TV personality with mommy issues you can see from space or one of those weird right-wing podcasts. He said that on a national stage, as part of the Republican presidential campaign. Warming up for a man whom a jury of his peers found liable for sexual assault after he defamed the woman who said that Donald Trump raped her in a dressing room. The Republican Party is now very much explicitly running on a campaign of male dominion. Trump’s your daddy. And he stands ready to put all the nasty women, as he calls them, in their place."
