WATCH: Andy Beshear Keeps Up the Attack on Vance But Apologizes to Mountain Dew

After recently going viral for questioning J.D. Vance's choice of soft drink, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear apologized to Mountain Dew.

J.D, Vance has been nothing but weird since being named as Donald Trump's running mate and last week he went on a rambling rant about being called racist for drinking Mountain Dew.

Governor Beshear, who could be auditioning to be Kamala Harris' running mate mocked the Ohio Senator, saying:

"What was weird was him joking about racism today and then talking about diet Mountain Dew. Who drinks diet Mountain Dew? But in all seriousness, he ain’t from here. He is not from Kentucky. This is a guy who would come maybe in the summers for some period of time, or to weddings or funerals."

During a presser on Thursday, Beshear placed a bottle of Mountain Dew at the podium and said, "I’ve been a person that sometimes when I’ve gone over the line, I’ve wanted to make sure that I set the record straight. So, I do owe an apology…to Diet Mountain Dew."

The Kentucky Governor continued, "Ale-8-One is definitely the soft drink of Kentucky but I don’t believe the government should be making your decisions. So, if you enjoy Diet Mountain Dew, you be you, we want to support you.'
