WATCH: 60 Minutes Responds to Trump's Lawsuit Threats Over VP's Interview

Donald Trump's lone success as an adult was convincing his MAGA base that the "Fake News" media is responsible for anything bad that has happened to him, from losing the 2020 election to his upcoming sentencing on 34 felony convictions.

As Trump's cognitive abilities are finally being examined by the corporate media, his staff is scrambling to make it seem as if he's a viable candidate.

Citing "exhaustion," Trump has been pulled from all mainstream media interviews until after the election, although he's had enough strength to force himself to show up for various photo ops and unhinged rallies in the last week.

Trump has continued to attack the media even as he's being sheltered in place by his team. While Vice President Kamala Harris gamely sat for the traditional presidential candidate interview with "60 Minutes," Trump canceled his--despite previously agreeing to it--once he learned he would be fact-checked.

After critics began calling Trump a chicken for backing out,  he and his team not-so-deftly shifted the blame from their cancelation to claiming "60 Minutes" deceptively edited the interview with Vice President Harris to make it seem more favorable. Since Trump can't allow himself to be shown up by anyone, he's gone as far as to threaten a lawsuit against the venerable newsmagazine for *checks notes* airing their interview with the Vice President.

CBS News was forced to acknowledge Trump's nonsense with a statement released on Sunday refuting his claims and throwing massive shade at the same time.

"Remember: Trump pulled out of his interview with 60 Minutes and the vice president participated.

"Our long-standing invitation to [Trump] remains open. If he would like to discuss the issues facing the nation and the Harris interview, we would be happy to have him on 60 Minutes."
