UAW Union Head Releases Statement Slamming 'Job-Killer' Donald Trump

After Donald Trump held an event in Michigan on Thursday, Shawn Fain, the head of the United Autoworkers' Union blasted the former President for breaking the trust of workers.

The former President has been campaigning on the idea that he is a jobs creator. The truth is that he has been far from that. And in a call hosted by the Harris campaign, Shawn Fain brought the receipts.

Fain backed the Democratic ticket, telling others on the call, "Kamala Harris has stood with labor. She's walked the walk. Donald Trump serves himself. He's always served himself."

The Union head also explained how Trump has broken promises in the past, continuing:

"Look at the Lordstown, Ohio assembly plant. [Trump] told workers there, "Don't sell your houses." The plant closed. He came to Warren, Michigan, a week ago or two. Again, wants to talk about how he cares about autoworkers. But we had [General Motors'] powertrain plant in Warren closed under his watch. He did nothing. Trump stood there in 2016 and promised that he wouldn't allow a single plant to close."

But Fain then explained that plant closures and the sending of jobs offshore was up during Donald Trump's tenure in office. This led to the Autoworker head calling Donald Trump, "the job-killer in chief."
