Trump Says NY's Case Against Him Has 'Imploded' After Cohen Testimony

Donald Trump, who has gotten away with so much in his life, expects that this will continue in his current legal cases. The one in New York, which focuses on his business dealings is particularly troubling to him.

The former President has lashed out against those trying him, especially AG Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron. But the state has a very strong case against him and has witnesses like Michael Cohen.

Cohen, a former lawyer for Trump, told Congress during a 2019 hearing, "It was my experience that Mr. Trump inflated his total assets when it served his purposes, such as trying to be listed amongst the wealthiest people in Forbes, and deflated his assets to reduce his real estate taxes." He said similar things in regard to this current case.

But Trump thinks this helps him. He wrote on Truth Social, 'Why doesn’t the implosion of the A.G. of New York State’s Star Witness (Cohen) end this Witch Hunt. In fact, the numbers are low, or very conservative, the exact opposite of what this ridiculous RIGGED case is all about. THE FRAUD IS BY THE JUDGE & A.G. (Mar-a-Lago & more!). NOT BY ME!!!"

Trump is not going to stop complaining about his NY case anytime soon, but it is very unlikely to do him any good.
