During a conversation with Marjorie Taylor Greene in the aftermath of Donald Trump's election victory, Steve Bannon asked the Georgia Congresswoman about running the Department of Homeland Security.

One of the most alarming aspects of Donald Trump's looming presidency is the lack of competent people around him. Instead of promoting veteran figures in key cabinet positions, it is likely some wildly unqualified people could be given key roles.
The reality of this situation was clear during Bannon and Greene's interview. Recently out of jail, the War Room host asked his guest, "Congressman Greene, you’ve done so much work. You’re such a you’re such a fighter. Now, is there truth to the rumor that you’re going to take over at DHS."
The Georgia Rep. answered the question:
"I don’t know what’s going to happen, Steve. We’re just thrilled to have President Trump back in the White House because everyone knows what that means. We’re going to dismantle the deep state. We’re going to end the weaponized government. We’re going to pardon the J6’ers. That’s extremely important. And we are going to restore peace and prosperity back for the American people. And we’re going to end those foreign wars and we’re going to end the climate change scam. Everything’s going to be restored. We’re so excited."
