On a recent episode of her Sirius radio show, Nikki Haley claimed that she hasn't forgotten what Trump said about her husband and family.
During the Republican primary season, Ron DeSantis was supposed to be the biggest threat to Donald Trump. It didn't exactly work out that way as DeSantis proved quite unpopular. Instead, Nikki Haley emerged as Trump's top foe, though he was eventually able to dispatch her.
Haley and Trump had an at times bruising primary with her saying he wasn't fit cognitively to serve and him mocking her husband's military service. And Haley said of their sparring:
"On this show, you’re not going to hear me say glowing things about Donald Trump’s personality. I have issues with him, as well. I have not forgotten what he said about me. I’ve not forgotten what he said about my husband or his, you know, deployment time or his military service. I haven’t forgotten about his and his campaign’s tactics from, you know, putting a bird cage outside our hotel room to calling me ‘bird brain.''
Haley also noted that she didn't think Biden or Trump were great candidates, saying, "If I thought either one of those candidates were great, I wouldn’t have run for office."
Still, Haley chose party over dignity during the RNC and gave Trump her strong endorsement, showing that much of what she said on the radio today was utterly hollow.
