Ron DeSantis came out of the woodwork on Monday to attack Kamala Harris with a quote from a movie you might not think he has seen.

2024 was supposed to be a huge year for Ron DeSantis. A rising star in the GOP, the Florida Governor planned on being his party's nominee for the presidency. Once his campaign started, however, voters didn't like what they saw out of him, and he finished third place behind Donald Trump and Nikki Haley.
It remains to be seen how much DeSantis will be willing to help Donald Trump this year or if he'd even be an asset on the campaign trail. But DeSantis is still a GOP lawmaker and as such, decided to throw a barb at Harris.
The governor was responding to the latest cover of New York Magazine, which shows a triumphant Harris atop a coconut. DeSantis wrote:
"Is it possible to completely manufacture a cultural phenomenon by taking a vapid, leftist San Francisco Democrat and turning her into something that she’s not through nonstop gaslighting? Corporate media is certainly trying to make “fetch” happen."
Unfortunately for DeSantis and the GOP, fetch certainly seems to be happening with Harris. Polling numbers have been strong over the last few days and that is before the Democratic National Convention or Vice President announcement.
