Roy Cooper responded directly to Donald Trump's lies about hurricane relief in North Carolina and said that the Republican is only hurting his supporters.
The state of North Carolina is one of the tightest in the Presidential race and Donald Trump has decided that the best way to capture votes is to lie about federal relief in the state.
Despite constant fact-checking, Trump has made ridiculous claims about how aid is being handled in the state and he is also claiming that he is the only one who can fix the problem.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, "It has just come out that Democrats in Washington and the Democrats Governor's Office of North Carolina (Roy Cooper) were blocking people from coming into North Carolina to help people in desperate need. Biden knew about it and so did Kamala. It's all over the place - a horrible situation. "
Cooper shared Trump's post on Twitter and said of the falsehoods, "This is a flat out lie. We’re working with all partners around the clock to get help to people. Trump’s lies and conspiracy theories have hurt the morale of first responders and people who lost everything, helped scam artists and put government and rescue workers in danger."
