Lindsey Graham Furious That Christopher Wray Suggested Trump Hit by Shrapnel

An irate Lindsey Graham wrote a letter to FBI head Christopher Wray asking that he retract his suggestion that shrapnel rather than a bullet may have hit Donald Trump.

Something injured Donald Trump's ear during a recent assassination attempt, but it is yet to be clarified what it was. Trump has said that it was a bullet, but there have also been reports that he was injured by glass. During a recent House testimony, Wray said it was shrapnel.

Trump has talked widely about the attempt on his life and has regularly said that a bullet hit him. However, the Trump campaign has not been forthcoming with information, so skepticism remains.

Graham, Trump's most ardent lickspittle, angrily wrote to the FBI Director asking that he recent. The letter read in part

"It is clear to everyone that President Trump survived an assassination attempt by millimeters, as the attempted assassin’s bullet ripped the upper part of his ear. This was made clear in briefings my office received and should not be a point of contention. Therefore, I urge you to immediately correct your statement and acknowledge that President Trump was hit by a bullet rather than glass or shrapnel."

The South Carolina senator's message continued, “As head of the FBI, you should not be creating confusion about such matters, as it further undercuts the agency’s credibility with millions of Americans. Please correct this statement immediately."
