Karl Rove: J.D. Vance's Debate Performance Will Have No Effect on the Polls [VIDEO]
Despite Conservatives gushing over J.D. Vance's performance during Tuesday night's debate, Karl Rove told Fox News that it won't really have any effect on the polls.
Last night's Vice Presidential debate was one of the last chances the GOP had to recapture momentum in the 2024 race. And many pundits on the right were thrilled with the performance of J.D. Vance who lied through his teeth, but was more polished than Donald Trump while doing so.
Rove, though, threw cold water on the effect the debate performance may have on voters. He told Fox, "Well, it was a very good night for him. But, no, look, the first debate where Donald Trump was widely seen in the polls and observers to have lost, it didn't affect the polls.'
The former Bush strategist continued, "But, no, presidential debates and vice presidential debates do not tend to affect things, particularly vice presidential debates. I mean, this race is stuck, and not to say that it's going to—it may not come unglued at some point."
Rove closed, "But so far, the back-and-forth, the television ads, the campaigning, the debates have done very little to change the numbers."
