Kamala Harris hit Donald Trump where it hurts this weekend, calling out her opponent for his refusal to debate or release his medical records.
For months, Donald Trump has been promising to release his medical info. At this point his refusal to do so should lead people to believe that he is attempting to hide something. The American people should certainly know about potential health concerns with a person of Trump's age and in his health.
There has been calls on Democrats to make this a bigger issue, either forcing Trump to release the records or for voters to realize that he is trying to hide the information from them.
Kamala Harris took that advice this weekend, telling voters in North Carolina:
"Here’s the thing, North Carolina, and he’s not being transparent with the voters. He’s not being transparent. So check this out. He refuses to release his medical records. Every presidential candidate in modern era has done it. He is unwilling to do a 60 Minutes interview. Every major party candidate has done for more than half a century. He is unwilling to meet for a second debate."
The Vice President continued, "And here’s the thing. It makes you wonder. It makes you wonder. Why does his staff want him to hide away? One must question, are they afraid that people will see that he is too weak and unstable to lead America? Is that what’s going on?"
