Kamala Harris Shuts Down Protestors at Detroit Rally [WATCH/COMMENTARY]

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz received a huge welcome on Wednesday in Detroit--so huge that the location for their rally had to be moved to an airplane hangar to accommodate a crowd of over 15,000.

After Coach Walz warmed up the crowd with a speech similar to the one he gave at their campaign kickoff rally in Philadelphia, he happily introduced "The next President of the United States" to an ovation so lengthy, VP Harris could only wait it out before she began.

Vice President Harris also used a lot of the same talking points from Philly, but as she was speaking about the importance of the Affordable Care Act, she was interrupted by shouts coming from anti-Israel protestors.

While President Joe Biden had been in similar situations and allowed the protestors to be heard, the former prosecutor immediately shut them down like they were Mike Pence at the 2020 VP debate.

The footage immediately set off the bully pulpit on Twitter, with harsh criticism lobbed at VP Harris for not letting the protestors disrespectfully disrupt her speech.

However, it turns out that both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz met with the protestors before the rally began, and by all accounts, it sounds like the organizers were satisfied with the encounter.

So what was the point of their performance? Did they just want a viral video to boost their organization? Because that's not an apology for being disrespectful to the Vice President of the United States.
