Jimmy Kimmel returned from his summer hiatus this week and immediately went after Donald Trump and his bumbling running mate, J.D. Vance.
When Jimmy Kimmel went off the air for summer vacation two months ago, things were looking quite grim for Democrats. But these days, things are looking up. Kamala Harris is leading in the poll averages and Trump and Vance create controversy everytime they step in front of a microphone.
Kimmel used his monologue to hit on the shifting landscape for the looming election, first mocking Donald Trump for all the insane things he has said over the past few months. The host then moved onto his running mate, beginning:
“There a lot of things Trump isn’t good at. One of the things he’s especially not good at, is picking running mates. He made a huge mistake with this JD Vance."
Kimmel continued, "He’s, he looks, JD Vance looks like someone asked AI to make the two and a half men one person. And it’s even worse for Trump, considering the home run Team Harris hit with this Tim Walz."
The host continued to laud Walz, saying, "I don’t know where they were hiding him, but he is, I mean, he is beautiful. His blood type is Corn Dog Batter. He belongs to several pickle of the month clubs. Tim Walz is the kind of guy who, if you sat next to him on a plane, he’d ask you ‘what brings you to Tampa?’ because he genuinely wants to know what brings you to Tampa."
