'He Ain't Like Us': California Town Where Trump is Holding Rally Says He's Not Welcome

Donald Trump's planned rally in California isn't all that welcome as the Mayor of the town of Coachella issued a statement slamming the rally.

It is less than a month until the Presidential election and both candidates should be focused on the handful of key states that will decide the election. Trump has decided that his best move is holding a rally in a state that he has no chance of winning.

There are certainly Republicans in California and Trump will be able to draw a crowd. The logic behind the move is what is actually in question. The former President's campaign put out a statement that read, "If this is the California Dream, it’s every American's worst nightmare."

Steve Hernandez, the Mayor of Coachella, responded to that statement with one of his own that read:

The City of Coachella was proud to welcome Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2020 primary election, but news of former President. Trump's upcoming visit has been met very differently. Trump’s attacks on immigrants, women, the LBTQ community and the most vulnerable among us don’t align with the values of our community. He has consistently expressed disdain for the type of diversity that helps define Coachella. We don’t know why Trump is visiting near Coachella, but we know he wasn’t invited by the people who live here. He ain’t like us."
