Brit Hume lauded Joe Biden on Fox News on Sunday, praising the President's speech after the Donald Trump assassination attempt.
Hume is no longer a regular on Fox News, but he will come in during major events. And the attack at last night's Trump rally certainly counts as a major event.
President Biden addressed the country on Sunday afternoon and asked the people of the country to take a step back.
Hume was asked about Biden's message during a Fox panel discussion and he was effusive in his praise for the President, saying:
"I thought the message was just right. Remember, he’s presides over the executive branch. The executive branch is responsible for the security of these campaigns. So this was one of the agencies over which he has authority. Whose failure, obvious failure, in this case to keep this assassination attempt from happening is under scrutiny. He needed to be out there. He needed to say something. As a leader of the executive branch, I think his message was just right. I think most Americans would look at it and say, absolutely, Mr. President, you’re right. A few stumbles he had may have been a further reminder of his frailty, but nonetheless, he did what he could, I thought."
