After J.D. Vance posted a defense of his racist conspiracy theory against Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan called him out as a disgrace.
Donald Trump cratered during Tuesday's debate with one of his worst moments being when he accused Haitian migrants of eating dogs and cats. J.D. Vance, his running mate, was pushing that theory even before Trump despite not having any evidence.
Rather than admitting that his racism was resulting in bomb threats at the local elementary schools in Springfield, the Ohio Senator decided to double down. Vance wrote on his Twitter feed:
"'It is racist,' they tell us, to get angry at being unable to afford a home, or to complain about being unable to drive a car safely down the streets paved by your neighbors, or to call 911 because strangers are slaughtering geese in a public park. They have ignored this town's problems for years."
Donald Trump's running mate continued, "It is Kamala Harris who would rather import new voters than persuade the ones who are already here."
Hasan linked to the initial tweet from Vance and wrote, "You’re a racist disgrace and I hope your mixed-race kids, the grandchildren of brown immigrants from the ‘third world’, grow up and disown you."
