[COMMENTARY/WATCH] Megan Thee Stallion Performs at Rainy Kamala Harris Rally in Atlanta

Not even a summer downpour could dampen the excitement of the more than 7500 Democratic voters lined up and ready to pack the largest indoor venue available at Georgia State University in Atlanta to see Megan Thee Stallion share the stage with the woman of thee moment, Vice President Kamala Harris.

The campaign event had received nearly 20,000 requests, with only about half of that able to squeeze into the University's Convocation Center.

Georgia is poised to turn back to Blue after a few election cycles that turned the state purple due to the growing populations of Black and Latino voters that make up a major part of the party’s base.

Further evidence of this is the showing of real bipartisan support for VP Harris. Former Georgia Lieutenant Gov. Geoff Duncan, a Republican, was expected to attend along with Georgia Democratic lawmakers like Rep. Nikema Williams, chair of the Democratic party of Georgia, and Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

Joining them will be Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who emerged as a vital voice for the Democrats during the 2020 election cycle.

The Harris campaign has raised over $200 million since it kicked off last week. Conversely, the Trump campaign--which has been fundraising since 2022--only has roughly $112 million in its coffers.

Megan Thee Stallion tweeted about the event on Tuesday ahead of the VP's arrival.

The energy was keeping the crowd on line going even as the skies opened up.

The VP was looking very Presidential upon her arrival, where she was met by the press and asked about her own VP pick.
