[COMMENTARY] AOC, Axelrod Both Use Trump's Unhinged RNC Speech to Boost Biden

The conversation is finally shifting around President Joe Biden remaining in the race thanks to Donald Trump's meltdown on the RNC stage Thursday night.

Aside from raking in record donations for the Biden campaign before Trump's speech was even halfway over, top Democrats are now stressing the severity of the situation if people don't stop talking about anyone on the Democratic ticket stepping aside or being replaced.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to her Instagram Live late Thursday night/early Friday morning to address the elephants in the room at the RNC.

AOC blasted those who want the President to drop out of the race, because she knows they also want Vice President Kamala Harris off the ticket too.

“If you think that there is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave ... that they will support, Vice President Harris, you would be mistaken,” AOC told viewers.

She also brutally slammed her colleagues for giving anonymous quotes to the press, calling it “bull*hit” and urged those who have given up on Joe Biden to give up their own seats in Congress instead.

“My community does not have the option to lose,” AOC said. “If they’re going to come out and say all their little things on background, off the record, but they’re not going to be fully honest, I’m going to be honest for them. I’m in these rooms. I see what they say in conversations."

Democratic advisor David Axelrod concurs with AOC, saying Trump's RNC speech was the best news Democrats have had in a while.

“This is the first good thing that‘s happened to Democrats in the last three weeks,” David Axelrod said on CNN. “This really reminded everyone why Donald Trump is fundamentally unpopular outside this room.”
